Designed to create, circulate and retain water in the skin, the Triple Action Moisture-Charge Complex is a blend of encapsulated pure Swiss glacier water ingeniously combined with extracts of prickly pear stem cell, wild pansy and a film-forming polysaccharide.
THE TRIPLE ACTION
THE TRIPLE ACTION MOISTURE-CHARGE COMPLEX creates moisture from within the skin by stimulating the synthesis of hyaluronic acid and its receptor and by protecting it from degradation as well as by increasing the expression of filaggrin, a source of natural moisturising factors. It circulates moisture throughout the epidermis by inducing aquaporin 3 gene expression to improve water, glycerol and NMF (natural moisturising factor) transport between cells. It retains water within the epidermis by boosting involucrin and filaggrin gene expression, thus improving the skin barrier function; involucrin being a structural support of the stratum corneum and filaggrin being important for the skin’s waterproof properties, and by helping protect epidermal cells against heat stress. It also forms a highly protective moisturising veil on the skin surface capable of holding water. This film can be hydrolysed by cutaneous enzymes into small sugars that are excellent natural traps for water molecules.
